Network & network security

Cloudflare
Performance and security for sites, apps and people.

Cloudflare protects and accelerates websites, applications and APIs, and gives employees secure Zero Trust access - with ELPC configuring, hardening and managing the service.

About the product

What is Cloudflare?

Cloudflare is a global cloud network that provides fast CDN and DNS, a web application firewall (WAF), DDoS and bot protection, and a Zero Trust platform (Cloudflare One) for secure employee access to apps and the internet.

ELPC helps move websites and services to Cloudflare, configure WAF rules and access policies, and integrate Cloudflare One into your organization's Zero Trust architecture.

Capabilities

What you get with Cloudflare.

WAF

Protects websites and APIs against common attacks.

DDoS protection

Absorbs and filters denial-of-service attacks.

CDN & DNS

Faster websites and fast, secure DNS.

Bot management

Detects and blocks malicious bots.

Zero Trust Access

Secure access to internal apps without a traditional VPN.

Secure Web Gateway

Safe browsing and filtering for employees anywhere.

What's in the platform

Security and performance for apps, and Zero Trust access for people.

Web application firewall (WAF)

Filters malicious requests to websites and APIs using managed and custom rules, including rate limiting.

DDoS protection

Absorbs and filters network- and application-layer denial-of-service attacks before they reach your servers.

Bot management & API security

Detects malicious bots, protects login forms from account takeover attempts, and discovers and validates APIs.

CDN, DNS & load balancing

Faster websites, managed DNS with DNSSEC and traffic steering between servers and sites for higher availability.

Cloudflare One - Zero Trust

Access to internal applications based on identity and device posture (ZTNA), instead of a traditional VPN.

Web filtering, CASB & DLP

Why your website and employee access are the first attack surface

Your website, customer portal and APIs are exposed to the internet all the time. DDoS attacks, account takeover attempts, scraping bots and application exploits hit revenue, service and reputation directly - and sometimes expose customers' personal data.

At the same time, employees no longer sit behind the office firewall. They work from home, on the road and from any device, and a traditional VPN gives them overly broad network access. Cloudflare addresses both sides: a protection and acceleration layer facing the internet, and a Zero Trust platform (Cloudflare One) for controlled employee access.

  • Higher availability of your website and services, even under attack.
  • Common application attacks blocked before they reach your servers.
  • Access based on identity and device rather than broad network access.
  • Less hardware to maintain - the service runs on Cloudflare's cloud network.

What you get

  • A planned migration of DNS records and websites to Cloudflare, with pre-checks to minimize downtime risk.
  • SSL/TLS settings, WAF rules, rate limiting and bot protection tailored to your applications.
  • Origin servers locked down to accept traffic only through Cloudflare.
  • Cloudflare One rollout: identity provider integration, access policies for internal apps, web filtering and WARP client deployment.
  • Logs connected to your SIEM for monitoring, investigation and record-keeping.
  • Periodic configuration reviews and rule improvements based on real traffic.

Why deploy Cloudflare with ELPC

Cloudflare is easy to switch on, but it's also easy to leave it on default settings that don't really protect you - or to tighten rules so much that legitimate customers get blocked. ELPC configures, hardens and manages Cloudflare as part of our managed networking and security services.

  • Orderly migration: mapping domains, records and dependencies before any DNS change.
  • Tuning: WAF and bot rules based on your own traffic, with a monitoring period before blocking.
  • Zero Trust in practice: role-based access policy design and integration with JumpCloud, Entra ID or Okta.
  • Ongoing management with Hebrew-speaking support: alert handling, rule adjustments and support during incidents.

Cloudflare's access controls, encryption, logging and DLP help meet the requirements of ISO 27001, SOC 2, GDPR and Amendment 13 to Israel's Privacy Protection Law. As part of deployment, ELPC also reviews data and log location, the data processing agreement (DPA) and the vendor's security reports.

The ELPC difference

Not just a license - a managed service.

The product is only half the solution. ELPC’s team designs, deploys and operates it as part of your IT and security department.

  • Moving websites and DNS to Cloudflare without downtime
  • WAF rules, rate limiting and access policy setup
  • Cloudflare One rollout in a Zero Trust model
  • Ongoing monitoring and configuration tuning
FAQ
What is Cloudflare?

Cloudflare is a global cloud network that provides security and performance services for websites, applications and APIs - such as WAF, DDoS protection, bot management, CDN and DNS - as well as a Zero Trust platform (Cloudflare One) for secure employee access to apps and the internet.

What is Cloudflare Zero Trust (Cloudflare One)?

Cloudflare One is a SASE platform that replaces VPNs and on-premises filtering. It includes access to internal apps based on identity and device posture (ZTNA), a secure web gateway, browser isolation, CASB and DLP, all managed from one console.

Will moving to Cloudflare cause website downtime?

When the migration is planned properly - full DNS record mapping, SSL certificate setup and testing before switching nameservers - it can be done without noticeable downtime. ELPC migrates in stages with a rollback plan.

How is Cloudflare different from a regular firewall?

An enterprise firewall protects your network and office. Cloudflare runs in the cloud, in front of your servers, and protects internet-facing sites and apps from DDoS, bots and application attacks. For employees, Cloudflare One adds a security layer for people working outside the office. The two usually complement each other.

Is Cloudflare suitable for a small business?

Yes. Cloudflare offers plans for businesses of different sizes, and some core capabilities are available on entry-level plans. ELPC helps choose the plan and modules that match your actual needs, without paying for capabilities you won't use.

How long does a Cloudflare deployment take?

Initial website protection (DNS, SSL, basic WAF) is usually set up quickly. Rolling out Zero Trust for employees, tuning rules and integrating with identity and logging systems happen gradually, depending on the number of applications and users.
